In accordance with the Agreement of the Cooperation between the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan and the Institute of Architecture and Fine Arts Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, signed on 27th of September 2010 during the visit of President of Azerbaijan, H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliev to Uzbekistan, on October 25 of this year at the Azerbaijan Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev held a scientific conference on " Interrelations cultures of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan". Organizers of the conference are the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, Institute of Architecture and Fine Arts Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, with the assistance of the Embassy.
 Symbolically holding of the conference on October 25 - a day in memory of outstanding Azerbaijani singer and composer, a great friend of the Uzbek people Muslim Magomaev.
 At the conference designed to reflect all the different cultural ties between our nations, taking part came from Baku scientists: Director of Institute of Architecture and Fine Arts, Doctor of Arts, Professor E. Salamzade; as well as staff of the Institute of Art Dr. R. Abdullaev; Doctor of Architecture Amenzade R.;Candidate of Art I. Hajiyev.
 Science of Uzbekistan at the conference present scientists from the National Institute of Arts and Design named after K. Behzod, Institute of Art; Conservatory; Gallery of Fine Art; Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies; Institute of History - Rector of the State Conservatory, Professor Dilara Muratova; National Artist of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, Professor F. Safarov; Prof. Matyakubov; Professor S. Qanieva; professor M. Khamidova; PhD Akilova K., S. Agzamhodzhaeva; PhDs Tashmatova A., R. Nazarov, A.Ziyaev. Also at the conference involved a professor of York University in Canada Sashar Zarif.
 Taking note that in 2011 celebrates 870 years since the birthday of great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi, the conference began the ceremony of laying a wreath at the monument Nizami Ganjavi in Tashkent.
 With an opening word has acted Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan Namig Abbasov; with greetings to the participants of the conference Acting President of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, National Artist of Uzbekistan, honored culture worker Ravshan Mirtadzhiev; Chairman of the Board of Friendship Societies of Uzbekistan with foreign countries academic Saidahror Gulyamov; director of the International Institute for Central - Asian Studies UNESCO Shahin Mustafayev.
 Reports of participants of conference about similarities and common roots of the symbolism of the links classical music traditions, opera relationships, spiritual relationships of thinkers, relationship of visual culture, the role of the Diaspora, theatrical connections, parallels the development of miniature art, painting, architecture and others relate to a broad range of issues, considering not only the history of cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbek peoples, but also the future prospects for cooperation.
 The Conference concludes by demonstrating Azerbaijani and Uzbek dances performed by students of the Tashkent College of Choreography. Students have studied dance under the direction of teachers of college, Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Erkin Kahharov and Professor of York University in Canada, Professor Zarif Sashar.
