Uzbekistan, from time immemorial is one of the world's centers of civilization, has always demonstrated respect for the languages, traditions and customs of nations and ethnic groups living on its territory. Since independence, the republic was established the legal basis of international agreement, further strengthened the atmosphere of friendship.
In January performed the 20th anniversary of the Republican International Centre of Uzbekistan, which united more than 140 cultural centers, and different nations living in Uzbekistan.
In connection with the anniversary of President of Uzbekistan Mr. Islam Karimov awarded high government awards a number of activists and cultural centers.

An activist of Azerbaijani diaspora in Uzbekistan, employee Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Syrdarya, poet Nasirli Ali Haydar oglu was awarded the order "Friendship" (Order "Dustlik") for his great contribution to the preservation and development of distinctive national cultures, traditions and customs, the strengthening of friendship and brotherhood, as well as for active participation in public life.
Solemn ceremony on the occasion the awards were held in the Palace "Turkistan" in Tashkent. At the event had taken part State Adviser to the President of Uzbekistan I. Abdullaev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan E. Basithanova and A. Aripov, MPs, government officials, diplomatic corps and mass media information.
Awarded the Order with the symbolic name "Friendship" Ali Nasirli expressed gratitude for the appreciation of his work, noting that the Republican International Cultural Center (RICC), under the motto "Uzbekistan - our common home" plays an important role in a culture of inter-ethnic harmony and religious tolerance in the country.
Our another compatriot of the head of the Azerbaijani ensemble "Tabriz" Najaf Mamedov was awarded an honorary diplomas and valuable gifts on behalf of the Republican International Cultural Center.
Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Uzbekistan has sent a congratulatory letter on the occasion of 20th anniversary of the RICC, stressing that coming from the strong bonds of friendship and brotherhood between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, the proximity of cultures, languages, religions and traditions provide a strong foundation for a broad and mutually beneficial cooperation between our two countries.
