On April, 2nd at the International Westminster University in Tashkent within the limits of a Week of Culture the exhibition «Culture of nations of the world» has been spent. At an exhibition, organized by University together with a number of the embassies accredited in Uzbekistan, active participation has accepted Embassy of the Azerbaijan Republic. At ceremony of solemn opening of an exhibition officials of Republic Uzbekistan, head of foreign missions and the international organizations accredited in Tashkent, representatives of scientific and creative elite of Uzbekistan, and also active workers of diasporas and representatives of mass media have taken part.
On an exposition of Azerbaijan boys and girls in the national suits, telling about the state symbols of the Azerbaijan republic, about ancient traditions and customs of the Azerbaijan people met a visitors.
Under the general name «the Azerbaijan Republic - 20 years of independence» were shown banners and the stands reflecting political, economic and cultural development of republic for years of independence. Here books and booklets about the national leader of the Azerbaijan people Geidar Aliyev, about a present direction of reforms of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev have been exposed.
In section «Musical culture of Azerbaijan» national musical instruments tar, kamancha, saz, gaval, nagara and also the book, booklets, disks about mugham, ashig art, outstanding composers of Azerbaijan have been exposed. In section «Carpets and arts and crafts of Azerbaijan» were shown some traditional Azerbaijan carpets of handwork, and also copper ware and utensils.
Also the books about social and economic and cultural processes at the Azerbaijan Republic have been exhibited. The separate exposition has been devoted the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy which student's delegation is in Tashkent. Students told to visitors about history and training process in the ADA, distributed booklets and brochures of Academy.
The separate section has been devoted friendship of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, received a new impulse in days of independence of republics.
Then in University Assembly hall has been dined, consisting of dishes of national kitchens. The Azerbaijan cookery has been presented by traditional dishes – plov, a shish kebab, dolma, dovga, different kinds of salads, water-ices, and also national sweets. Boys and girls in national suits invited visitors to festive tables with entertainments from dishes of the Azerbaijan national cuisine.
The exhibition has proceeded in the University Concert hall national music performances of the countries-participants. The concert program of Azerbaijan has been presented by mugham performed by singer Yusif Aliev, ahig music performed by Ilham Abdullaev, national songs performed by Rena Azizova and dancing numbers of ensemble «Azerbaijan girls» under the direction of the deserved actress of Azerbaijan Kekab Alieva.
